Leadline
Open to riders 8 years old and under as of 9/1/2011. Judged on rider’s position including hands, seat, and legs. Riders may cross enter into Beginner Rider Walk only.
Beginner Rider
Open to beginner riders age 15 and younger as of 9/1/2011. Judged on rider’s position including hands, seat, and legs, as well as control of mount. Riders may not cross enter into any other division at the same show.
Warm Up Hunter
Open to any horse/pony rider combination. Judged on performance, soundness, manners, and way of going. Horses/ponies in this division may not cross enter into any afternoon classes.
Crossrail Hunter
Open to any horse/pony rider combination. Judged on performance, soundness, manners, and way of going. Fences to be trotted or cantered. Horses/ponies in this division may not cross enter into any afternoon classes.
Hunter Pleasure
Open to any horse/pony rider combination. Judged on performance, soundness, manners, and way of going. Extreme speed to be penalized. Fences are 18”, and may be trotted or cantered.
Short Stirrup Equitation
Open to all riders age 13 and younger as of 9/1/2011 riding horses or ponies. Judged on rider’s position including hands, seat, and legs, as well as control of mount. Fences are 18”, and may be trotted or cantered.
Long Stirrup Equitation
Open to all riders age 14 and older as of 9/1/2011 riding horses or ponies. Judged on rider’s position including hands, seat, and legs, as well as control of mount. Fences are 2’, and may be trotted or cantered.
Afternoon classes not to begin before noon
Controlled Schooling Break, time permitting.
*Halloween Costume Class *October Show Only*
Open to any horse/pony and any rider. Horses will be hand-walked in costume. Handlers may wear costumes as well.
*Pairs Walk/Trot Class *November Show Only*
Open to all riders on horses or ponies. Riders will compete paired side-by-side on their horses at the walk and trot. To be judged on manners, even pace, and likeness.
Schooling Hunter
Open to any horse/pony rider combination. Judged on performance, soundness, manners, and way of going. Fences are 2’ and are to be cantered.
Pony Hunter
Open to all riders riding ponies. Judged on performance, soundness, manners, and way of going. Fences are 2’ and are to be cantered.
Equilibrium Medal
Open to all riders 18 and under as of 9/1/2011 riding horses or ponies. Judged on rider’s position including hands, seat, and legs, as well as control of mount. Fences are 2’ for ponies, and 2’3” for horses, and are to be cantered. Riders may be asked to do any of the following during their course: halt, trot a fence, or complete a roll-back turn. Riders may be asked to return for an under saddle class and may be asked for sitting trot, extended trot, collected trot, or to drop their stirrups. Judges may ask for additional tests.
Open Hunter
Open to any horse/pony rider combination. Judged on performance, soundness, manners, and way of going. Fences are 2’6” and are to be cantered.
Working Hunter
Open to any horse/pony rider combination. Judged on performance, soundness, manners, and way of going. Riders may choose to jump 2’9” or 3’.
ADDITIONAL RULES:
-Protective headgear is required at all times while mounted.
-Current Negative Coggins within 12 months of the date of the show must be presented.
-Rider’s age considered as of September 1st, 2011.
-There will be a $30.00 charge for returned checks.
-Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
-EHC, their employees, and volunteers will not be responsible for any accident, injury, loss, or damage of horses, persons, or property during the show.
-Controlled schooling is permitted from 9:00 a.m.-9:45 a.m. and during the afternoon lunch break, time permitting. Fences may not be adjusted or moved during schooling.
-Six ribbons will be awarded in each class. Champion and Reserve Champion
ribbons will be awarded in each division. Points will remain with the horse for hunter divisions, and with the rider for equitation divisions. Points per show are as follows: 1st=6 points, 2nd=5pts, 3rd=4pts, 4th=3pts, 5th=2pts, 6th=1pt, Champion=20pts, and Reserve Champion=12pts. Series End Awards will be awarded at the last show for all divisions, and high score awards for top horse and top rider.
Show management has the right to combine or cancel classes, or
decline entries that may not be in the best interest of the show.
If inclement weather, show may be moved indoors.
